Arbor Day Tree Planting
Did you know it's Arbor Day today / 5 June? Arbor Day is observed to encourage people to celebrate nature by planting a tree. So Room 35 decided to scoot to the Wetlands Campus to pair up with our buddies and head down to the Travis Wetlands to plant some trees ourselves. We met up with John, the Park Ranger and he showed us how to plant the trees. First we had to find a plant , dig a hole which needed a lot of teamwork and strength. Then another challenge awaited us, (getting the plant out of the pot) then we put the cover over it and we were finished - it looked great. What a nice way to help the environment.

What a wonderful way to help the environment. I hope you remember where you planted the trees and shrubs so you can return in a few months time and see how it is going. Well done Rm 35 and your buddies. Cara
